KaraApril 17, 2026I was referred to Nick at Performance Roofing and Siding by my attic contractor, and I’m really glad I took that recommendation. Performance has locations in Pontiac and Ann Arbor, to name a few. Before reaching out to Nick, I had already spent quite a bit on estimates from several other companies. Some quotes were surprisingly low, which honestly made me nervous about the quality of work. I didn’t feel confident moving forward with any of them, which was discouraging, after spending so much time and effort researching and getting estimates. After speaking with Nick, I immediately felt more at ease. Nick took the time to listen to my concerns over the phone and gave straightforward, honest feedback. When he came out for the free estimate, that same honesty carried through. He didn’t try to upsell me and was very clear about what was actually worth doing vs. what would just add cost without much benefit. I really respected that. My main priorities were improving ventilation and doing a full roof replacement on both my house and garage, and he stayed focused on that goal. This isn’t the cheapest company upfront, but you can tell you’re paying for quality work and solid warranties. There are different options of warranties to choose from. In the long run, it’s worth it. They also offer good financing options, which helped. The crew showed up and got right to work. They were efficient, professional, and didn’t cut corners. They had a dumpster on-site and had everything cleaned up and removed quickly afterward. What really impressed me was the follow-up. The next day, Andrew (Director of Operations) called to check in, make sure I was happy, and let me know to reach out if anything came up. On top of that, Greg came out and thoroughly went over the property with a magnet to pick up any leftover nails or debris. This was all happening after a stressful situation with storm damage, and I’m very grateful I ended up with such a solid company when I was in a time crunch. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. Also worth mentioning, I hadn’t even made it 24 hours after the job was done before a neighbor stopped by asking who did my roof and wanting to know more. That pretty much says it all! Robert MajeskiJanuary 18, 2026In the summer of 2025, we assessed that all of our outside siding must be replaced on our 65 year old log cabin cottage on Lake Huron. We selected Performance Roofing and Siding to do the work us and they did the following: 1. All new GAF Timberline HDZ Lifetime shingles and steel metal shingles were installed. 2. Added new aluminum coverings over existing fascia boards. Added new gutters and downspouts. 3. Added new L P "SmartSide" wood composite cap on all existing soffitt boards. 4. All vertical siding panels were covered and/or replaced with James Hardie paneling board and batten. Some gables were of cedar shake appearance. 5. All existing outside window trim were covered with customized wrap around white aluminum metal. 6. A special feature added to the existing bottom perimeter cylinder block foundation was the addition of manufactured stone veneer. This really added a pleasing appearance to our cottage. Ed DziubinskiNovember 26, 2025We had begun the process of soliciting bids for a new siding project for our home and had become somewhat disillusioned in dealing companies that would not even come onsite to estimate the job to one that wanted $500 just to show up and provide a bid. So when we reached out to Performance Roofing and Siding the experience was a 180 in customer service! From initial contact with their Ann Arbor office to the day we met their sales rep Roger. Roger took the time to initially learn about the scope of what we wanted to walking around our home with us, to sitting down with us in our home to look at what their company could do for us. There was nothing pushy during the entire process, and Roger took the time to answer all our questions. Roger left us well informed and it was obvious to us what firm we were going to utilize. Our project, with the products we chose fell into a cost that we felt was an honest cost compared to what we had received from the hard sell companies we contacted prior. Additionally Roger stayed in contact with us throughout our entire project. Material delivery was wonderful and the crew lead, Andrew, was surprised and delighted we had the delivery placed in our garage. The communication with our assigned crew was great! Additionally, Andrew checked in with us daily on their progress. The area supervisor over the project also stopped on site and made contact with us and said if we had any concerns to contact anyone with Performance Roofing and Siding and it would be addressed immediately. Here is my step by step experience. The initial inspection and quote was a reasonable experience. The person who answered the phone was charismatic and helpful. Once the job was scheduled I was given a different contact person. He was quick to respond, by text or phone. Also they sent us a little care package with sweets, a nice surprise. They brought a dumpster out early, and left it at the wrong house. They came to move it because the vendor made a mistake. The day we were scheduled we were facing a weather delay, and until I got home from work, I didn’t have clear communication as to whether they had started the job or were pushing it to the next day. When I got home around 6, they were already well into the job. Despite checking with someone to see if I could walk past, I was almost hit by thrown debris, which may be related to a later concern with my awnings. Besides that interaction the workers were unobtrusive. They worked past 9pm, and left without saying anything. The next morning I still hadn’t had any follow up conversation and was not sure whether they stopped for the night or were done. I looked myself and I wasn’t certain, the roof seemed done otherwise, and did look good. However I found the gutters were not installed. I also found dents in my awnings but couldn’t verify the source. After I initiated a call, my contact in the company confirmed they were done with the roof and said the gutters would be coming quickly. It took 2 business days and another reminder but they were installed. After the job, I didn’t receive any communication from the team for 11 days, where I received an email with information about my warranty and another with a link for a review. I attempted to ask for documentation for my records - I wanted a summary of job completion and a receipt. I realized later this was a no-reply email, meaning they did not ignore my request. Either way I did not receive any direct confirmation after the job was completed. After posting my review here, the owner reached out personally offering the paperwork (while he didn’t provide it before, I had only requested it by the email to a read only address). He listened earnestly to my suggestions and concerns - most of which were just about post-job communication. I feel pretty confident that he cares about customer experience and will take in my suggestions and consider them for future changes. While I felt in the dark at the end of the job, the care the leadership team shows does give me the confidence in their desire for excellence and creating a good experience.Posted on Google
